There was a sign of relief on everyone's face as Kanimozhi and others put their thumb impressions on the bail documents at Tihar on Tuesday evening. Tihar officials said the relieving documents were received along with other prisoners documents around six in the evening and the documentation formalities were completed within an hour.
Kanimozhi may be in Delhi till December 3, after which she is slated to leave for Chennai, sources said. A number of party leaders have already come to Delhi to meet her. Now, only three out of 14 accused people - A Raja, former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura and Raja's former secretary R K Chandolia are still lodged in the Tihar Jail.
Kanimozhi and four others, were granted bail by the Delhi high court in 2G spectrum case on Monday but had to wait for a day as lease warrants could not be issued by the special judge due to procedural delay, which was caused as the certified copy of the high court's order, which was required to be submitted along with the bail bonds before the special CBI Judge, could not be furnished within the working hours.
